For the target on strengthening cooperation in productivity research and implementing activities to promote productivity improvement as well as management efficiency of EVN, contributing to improve national productivity according to the directing orientation of the Party and the Government, Vietnam National Productivity Institute and EVN have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on productivity research and development of the general plan to boost the EVN’s productivity.
Mr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy General Director of Directorate for Standards on Metrology and Quality, the representative for Vietnam National Productivity Institute (right) and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - Deputy General Director of EVN signed an MoU.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam - Deputy General Director of EVN, as a large economic group that has gained a rapid growth rate and made important contributions to the national industrialization and modernization process, EVN not only pays attention to the growth rate but also focuses on the quality of growth. The cooperation signing with Vietnam National Productivity Institute is to jointly implement programs, projects, research projects, productivity analysis, in comparison with the same sectors as well as international scope, thereby to develop solutions to promote and improve labor productivity of the Electricity sector.
Mr. Nam said that in the period of 2020-2022, productivity research will be properly focused on to serve the orientation of improving the productivity of the Group, including some specific contents such as Researching, calculating, analyzing labor productivity indicators, total factor productivity – in comparison with sectors and some countries in the region; Researching and developing a system of benchmarking and best practices on productivity throughout EVN.
Also, EVN and Vietnam National Productivity Institute are expected to cooperate in training and developing human resources on productivity. Accordingly, the two sides will work together to develop the qualified officials to become the core ones for management and implementation of the overall productivity improvement program of EVN and productivity improvement programs of its member units so to create a culture of continual improvement, minimize waste and improve customer satisfaction. At the same time, it is necessary to select and develop international productivity experts to be certified by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO).
The cooperation between Vietnam National Productivity Institute - National Productivity Organization and Vietnam Electricity Group - a state-owned group in the field of power production, transmission and distribution - on strengthening cooperation in researching the productivity and developing overall plan to boost productivity is a testament to the cooperation between the National Productivity Organization and enterprises, supporting the development of enterprises.
