EVNHCMC donates medical supplies worth more than VND2.6 billion to hospitals treating COVID-19 patients

More than 6,500 employees of the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) have donated 1 day's salary to purchase urgent medical supplies to donate to hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of more than VND2.6 billion.

The medical supplies are evenly distributed and donated to hospitals, including People's Hospital 115, Field Hospital No. 4; Field Hospitals No. 11, 12; Cu Chi Field Hospital; Thu Duc City Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Specifically, each hospital will be given 2,000 protective suits, 500 3M-1860 masks, 500 anti-droplet glasses and 1,920 N.95 masks.

In addition, the corporation will send 10,000 protective suits, 4,000 3M-1860 masks, 4,000 anti-droplet glasses, and 19,200 N.95 masks to specialized field hospitals.

Since the beginning of the year, EVNHCMC has donated VND1.8 billion for pandemic fighting activities and vaccine purchase; together with Vietnam Electricity, contributing VND20 billion to support the COVID-19 vaccine fund, not counting many other activities of associations and organizations under the corporation.

At the same time, EVNHCMC has expeditiously completed ahead of the scheduling priority power supply plans, ensuring timely, sufficient and uninterrupted power supply for units carrying out COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control tasks. Currently, EVNHCMC is providing priority power to 350 locations serving the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, including 113 hospitals, 60 medical facilities, 161 isolation facilities and 16 field hospitals. All hospitals and medical facilities are exempted from paying electricity bills or enjoy discounts on electricity bills according to the policy of the Government, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity.
