In the project implementation process, EVNHCMC encountered many difficulties because the project was located in an area of dense and complicated traffic. To accelerate the project's progress, EVNHCMC has organized to implement the project in a flexible way. Most of the construction time was at off-peak hours, even nighttime, to ensure the project schedule. At the same time, EVNHCMC has focused on dispatching to ensure a stable power supply for the factory.
Intel's factory produces electronic chips, so the requirements for voltage and current stability are very high. The completion of the project has provided a high-quality electrical infrastructure for the factory of Intel Products Vietnam. The project also contributes to meeting goals such as improving the power transmission capacity for the Intel 110kV substation and neighboring substations, and strengthening the interconnection of the 110kV power grid in the area to ensure safety, flexibility in the management and operation of the city's power system.
The Intel Products Vietnam factory is the largest manufacturing, assembly and testing facility in Intel's assembly and testing network. Ensuring stable and uninterrupted power supply for Intel Products Vietnam and key enterprises in the high-tech park in Ho Chi Minh City has been identified by EVNHCMC as one of the top key tasks, in order to contribute to improving the investment environment of Ho Chi Minh City.
It is expected that by the end of November 2022, EVNHCMC will complete phase 2 of this project.
