The project is invested in by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). CPMB manages and operates the project.

This is a special-level project, group B, with a total investment of more than VND 196 billion. The project was built within the existing Viet Tri 500kV substation, belonging to 2 communes Bao Thanh and Gia Thanh, Phu Ninh district, Phu Tho province.

The project contributes to ensuring long-term and reliable electricity supply for socio-economic development in Phu Tho province and surrounding areas; at the same time enhancing the transmission reliability and capacity of the power grid; reducing power loss in the transmission grid, and increasing the electricity production and business efficiency of EVN.
