Mr. Choi Joo Ho said that Samsung Vietnam was put into operation since 2008. Up to now, Samsung Viet Nam has contributed over 25% of Vietnam’s total export turnover. It is expected that in 2019, the accumulated revenue of the Complex will reach USD 73,5 billion, export value reaching USD 63,5 billion, gaining a growth rate of 5% compared to year 2018’s.
EVNNPC has made significant contributions to such results, specifically ensuring safe, stable and continuous power supply with the best quality.

Making a speech at the meeting, Ms. Do Nguyet Anh – General Director of EVNNPC said, in 2019, the expected power consumption of the factories in Samsung Vietnam Complex operating in the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen is about 3 billion kWh, accounting for about 5% of the total commercial power output of the Northern Power Corporation. EVNNPC always makes the biggest investment resources, as well as develops the most effective measures to ensure safe and stable power supply with the highest quality for Samsung factories.
These factories are specialized in manufacturing mobile phones and high-tech electrical products. As such, the quality of power shall also meet stringent requirements. Over the years, EVNNPC has focused all resources on investing and building 110kV substations and power grids; also, prepared necessary power supply plans for the backup of these factories. Therefore, it has improved the efficiency of Samsung’s investment and business in Vietnam.
Currently, Samsung Complex in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen has been powered by 110kV Substations named Yen Binh 1,2,3 and 110kV Substations of Yen Phong 1,2,3,4,5.
