This is one of six reactors included in the “Equipping horizontal compensating reactors on 500kV power grid” project which is invested by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).
After the KH591 reactor of Vung Ang 500kV substation had been successfully energized and operated, it will promote efficiency of the project, the voltage of bus bar of Vung Ang 500kV substation always keeps stable among the range of allowable operating voltage.
When the project is completed, its general result will increase the flexibility of voltage adjustment of the power system in general and 500kV power grid in particular; improve the safety, stability, reliability of operation; contribute to reducing power loss on the transmission grid; increase the transmission capacity on the 500kV line sections and ensure the quality of power for socio-economic development of the country.
Successfully energizing the reactor contributes to emulating and gaining achievements for “Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Establishment of National Power Transmission Corporation (July 1st, 2008 – July 1st, 2018)” of Power Transmission Company No. 3.
