EVNNPC: 9 projects of 110-kV power grid completed before hot season

In April, 2018, Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) increased the power capacity by 165MVA and 60km of 110kV transmission lines to improve reliability of power supply to customers, especially during hot season in 2018.

Some typical projects are mentioned here: 110kV connecting transmission line after Phu Tho 220kV substation (Phu Tho province); improvement of 110kV line of Kim Dong - Pho Cao – Hung Yen City (Hung Yen province); hanging the 110 kV 2-circuit overhead lines of Quynh Luu - Dien Chau - Cua Lo - Hung Dong (Nghe An), etc.

EVNNPC has also further commenced the construction of 6 110kV projects and many medium and low voltage grid works. The corporation is keeping strengthening its solutions to ensure stable and safe power supply to customers, especially in the peak period of hot season.

By the end of April 2018, the power loss rate of the Corporation was 5.21%, decreasing by 0.34% over the same period of 2017; the commercial power output was estimated at 19 billion kWh, increasing by 13.29% over the same period of 2017, of which the construction industry takes the largest proportion (65.93%).
