The construction of Generator house for Con Co Substation was commenced on 25 February, 2018 on an area of 213m2 including 2 diesel-fired generators with a capacity of 500kVA/generator, total investment of over VND 7 billion (from the basic depreciation fund of Central Power Corporation. So far, generators have been technically tested and accepted, and put into operation as well as energized to the grid.
The Company officially received the operation management of Con Co island power system from 15 August, 2017. Upon the reception, the unit has supplemented a 250kVA generator to the Island to implement uninterrupted 24/24h power supply for the load demands.
With the supplementation of 2 new diesel-fired generators, the power generation capacity on the Island is now 10 times larger than the figure at that time Quang Tri Power Company take over the power system of Con Co island.
Over the past time, all levels of trade unions and workers, civil servants and employees in the province have implemented many meaningful works and products with high socio-economic values. The highlight among these works is the generator house of Con Co Substation, with the goal of ensuring 24/24 power supply for Con Co island district, facilitating to promote local socio-economic development.
