Nearly 82% of customers of EVNHCMC pay electricity bills by electronic form

This is one of the outstanding results in the production – business work of the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) in the report sent to the National Assembly Delegation for Ho Chi Minh City.

Up to April 2018, the Corporation has received and resolved completely 11/13 recommendations related to electricity issues, through meetings with voters of the National Assembly delegation for HCMC and HCMC People's Council.

The remaining 2 recommendations related to the 110kV voltage grid will be completed by the Corporation in the third quarter of 2018.

In the report, EVNHCMC also stated that in the first four months of 2018, the Corporation has implemented stable, safe and continuous electricity supply for the City's socio-economic development and people’s living needs. At the same time, the deployment of science and technology applications in modernizing the power system and improving the quality of customer service has brought more positive results.

The System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) is 0.65 times/ customer and the System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) is 51.51 minutes/ customer. The process of supplying power via the medium voltage network has been shortened (average 4.22 days, it is 5 days lower than the target).

With the propaganda promotion on non-cash payment forms, the rate of electronic payment up to April 2018 was 81.77%. The Corporation continues to expand the forms of electronic payment via applications on mobile devices, websites, electronic wallets, automatic payments, etc., aiming at 100% non-cash payment.

In the work of social security, the Corporation has helps nearly 1.5 million workers, students and employees renting houses to be entitled to the stipulated power price, an increase of 14,798 people compared to that by the end of 2017.

In addition, the Corporation has promoted the propaganda, and conducted survey, consultation on the use of safe electricity to 9,086 households. Particularly for apartments and high buildings, the Corporation has coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department to conduct the power safety inspection for 613/798 apartments, high buildings, reaching a rate of 76.8%. Expectedly, the completion of 185 remaining positions shall be finalized in May 2018 and the shortcomings (if any) shall be planned for handling.

In May 2018, the Corporation will also complete the connection of the Intel - Hi-tech 110 kV underground cable line, 6.4 km long, which is the third power source for the Intel Vietnam factory in Ho Chi Minh City High-tech zone.
