Energizing phase 1 of Chau Thanh 220kV substation and its connect

At 9:48 p.m. on 22 December 2021, in Thanh Hoa commune, Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province, the Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) coordinated with related units to successfully organize the acceptance and energization for phase 1 of Chau Thanh 220kV substation and its connection.

Chau Thanh 220kV substation project and its connections are invested by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and managed by SPMB. Power Transmission Company 4 shall undertake the operation management when the project is completed.

The capacity scale of phase 1 includes 3 220kV bays, AT1 transformer with a capacity of 125MVA, 1 self-use transformer 23/0.4 - 250kVA; completing construction of poles, pulling wires of the connecting line to the O Mon - Soc Trang 220kV transmission line.

The completion of phase 1 of the project helps to ensure power supply to meet the needs of socio-economic development of Hau Giang province and surrounding areas; reduce the load for 220/110kV transformers in the locality.

Phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed in 2022 with the installation of AT2 transformers and 110kV bays.
