Group leaders work with EVNSPC on production and business results in first 6 months of 2024

The working delegation of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) led by Mr. Dinh The Phuc and Mr. Cao Quang Quynh - Members of EVN's Board of Directors recently had a working session with the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) on the implementation of production, business, and financial plans for the first 6 months of 2024 and the implementation of tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan - Deputy General Director of EVNSPC, on behalf of the unit's leaders, reported to the working delegation on the implementation of production, business, and financial plan targets for the first 6 months of 2024. Accordingly, EVNSPC's total commercial electricity output reached 46.1 billion kWh, an increase of 13.35% over the same period in 2023; the estimated commercial electricity output for the whole year is 91.5 billion kWh.

EVNSPC also performed well in production and business targets such as a power loss rate was 3.72%, reaching the plan as assigned by EVN; the power grid incident rate index improved significantly; reliability of distributed power supply continued to improve, SAIDI index in the first 6 months of 2024 was 96.43 minutes, decreasing by 4.01 minutes compared to that of the same period.

Load forecasting and load shifting both met the plan assigned by EVN. In the first 6 months of the year, EVNSPC's accumulated electricity savings reached more than 1.06 billion kWh, equivalent to saving 2.30% of electricity consumption and surpassing 0.3% of the plan as assigned by EVN (minimum 2%). Up to now, EVNSPC has promoted and mobilized 6,011 large customers to sign agreements to participate in non-commercial demand response (DR).

Mr. Dinh The Phuc and Mr. Cao Quang Quynh directed the Corporation to have specific solutions to continue performing the assigned tasks in the last months of the year, ensuring power supply to meet the electricity demand for production, business, and socio-economic development in 21 southern provinces and cities.
