Handing over rooftop solar PV system to school on Ly Son island

On December 10, 2020, in Ly Son island district (Quang Ngai), the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) and the Central Region Resident Agency of the Voice of Vietnam held a ceremony for inauguration of and handing over a rooftop solar PV system to Ly Son High School.

The system consists of 24 solar panels being installed on the roof of the school, with an installed capacity of more than 10 kWp, producing 40 kWh per day, with a total cost of VND 250 million.

This is the 4th rooftop solar PV system that EVNCPC has cooperated with the Central Region Resident Agency of the Voice of Vietnam and relevant organizations to give to four schools in Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces, with a total cost of more than one billion dong.

EVNCPC’s Vice President Nguyen Thanh stated that the rooftop solar PV project of EVNCPC not only helps the school to save electricity cost every month, but also communicates to teachers and students to raise the awareness of electricity saving and enhance the use of clean and renewable energy.
