Handover minute signing ceremony of responsibilities and duties: EVN Party Committee Secretary and EVN Chairman of Board of Directors

On April 28, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) held a Minute signing ceremony to handle the duties of the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity.

According to Decision No. 299/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated March 27, 2023, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity will retire according to the pension regime from May 1, 2023.

Under the regulations of the Party and State, the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc issued Decision No. 1279-QD/DUK dated April 27, 2023 on assigning Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity in charge of EVN Party Committee from May 1, 2023 until the title of Secretary of EVN Party Committee is consolidated.

On April 28, 2023, the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises also issued Decision No. 773/UBQLV-TCCB on assigning Mr. Dang Huy Cuong – a member of EVN’s Board of Directors to temporarily take charge of EVN’s Board of Directors from May 1, 2023 until the personnel consolidation decision of the Chairman of EVN’s Board of Directors issued by competent authority.

Following the direction of competent authorities, EVN held a minute signing ceremony of handing over the tasks of Party Committee Secretary between Mr. Duong Quang Thanh and Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan; handing over the duties of Chairman of the Board of Directors between Mr. Duong Quang Thanh and Mr. Dang Huy Cuong.

The signing of these handover minutes is expected to help EVN stabilize its operations and create conditions for EVN to complete assigned tasks; hand over the tasks and works which are completed and the tasks and works that need to be completed in the coming time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc Nguyen Duc Phong asked comrades Tran Dinh Nhan and Dang Huy Cuong to accept the responsibilities and duties of comrade Duong Quang Thanh to continue to maintain stability and perform well the assigned tasks. The Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc will continue to create favorable conditions, accompany, care for, lead, and direct EVN Party Committee and EVN to develop strongly and fulfill the assigned tasks
