Speaking at the conference, EVN Vice President Pham Hong Phuong affirmed that, along with the efforts of the Power sector and construction units, the drastic direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Ministries, branches, and localities; the support of socio-political organizations, including the Central Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Unions, has helped the project achieve the current results.
“Immediately after the Central Youth Union launched, the 9 Provincial Youth Unions deployed 465 youth volunteer teams with more than 6,200 youth union members to participate in supporting the construction in 9 provinces where the 500kV transmission line project passes through.
The youth union members also directly supported many tasks such as clearing trees; and moving and dismantling architectural works in the corridor of the transmission line to hand over the construction site.”

To create a vibrant and widespread competitive atmosphere and spread the effects of volunteer activities to support construction projects, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central has launched the peak emulation period of 30 days and nights of volunteering to participate in supporting the acceleration of progress and early completion of the Quang Trach-Pho Noi 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project.
During the emulation period (from June 1-30, 2024), many meaningful activities were deployed, creating an exciting and supportive atmosphere among youth union members and people.

Some results of the emulation period launched by the Central Youth Union:
1. Propaganda work
- Posted 267 propaganda news and articles on the Youth Union's press and media agencies about the project, spreading the participation of young people in supporting the construction of the project
- Local youth unions have carried out mass mobilization work to gain consensus and support for the project from people living in the project areas.
2. Volunteer activities to support the construction
- 9 Provincial Youth Unions have established 465 youth volunteer teams, with 6,272 youth union members.
- Participating in supporting 297 construction sites.
3. Support for clearing safety corridors for power line construction routes
- Supporting for dismantling of 262 houses, 150 barns, and structures
- Clearing 176 hectares of production forest and cutting down 22,826 trees in the plains and residential areas where the power line corridor passes through.
