Vice Chairman Pham Van Hau of People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province together with relevant departments and agencies had a meeting with Thien Tan Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (Quang Ngai province) on the implementation status of Thien Tan Solar Energy Project and the parties agreed to accelerate the project progress in the coming time.
Thien Tan Solar Energy Project is a momentous project in the Government’s national power development master plan. The project is an important impetus for many foreign and domestic investors to invest more in renewable energy power industry.
The project displays the capabilities and determination of Thien Tan Group in developing economic potential of the province.

Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province requested that provincial departments and agencies shall create favorable conditions for the investor, promptly and absolutely resolve outstanding issues and coordinate with Thien Tan Group to accelerate the project implementation.
Thien Tan Solar Energy Project is located at Phuoc Trung commune, Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province with the total investment cost of more than USD 2 billion, the land area to be acquired for the project is expectedly 1,400 ha. The project is divided into different phases with five power plants, of which the first one with 50 MW capacity will commence in 2017 and put into operation in 2018. Until 2020, Thien Tan Group will complete construction of all five power plants among which the forth and the fifth ones will have 300 MW capacity per each. Thien Tan Group has signed contract to procure solar panels of First Solar Group with contract price up to hundreds of million USD.
Regarding incentive policies for clean energy development projects, recently, the Prime Minister has issued a Decision on the feed – in – tariff of solar energy. “This Decision is a “leverage” to push up Thien Tan Group and the People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province to start this “super” project” – said Mr. Huynh Kim Lap, President of Thien Tan Group.
