Ensuring power for SEA Games 31
The power production of the whole system in April 2022 reached 22.62 billion kWh, up 1.9% over the same period. Accumulated in the first 4 months of the year, the power production output of the whole system reached 85.65 billion kWh, up 6.2% over the same period. The mobilization levels of some main sources are as follows:
+ Hydropower reached 22.22 billion kWh, accounting for 25.9% of the total power output of the whole system.
+ Coal thermal power reached 39.09 billion kWh, accounting for 45.6% of the total power production of the whole system.
+ Gas turbines reached 10.42 billion kWh, accounting for 12.2% of the total power production of the whole system.
+ Renewable energy (wind power, solar power, biomass power) reached 13.15 billion kWh, accounting for 15.4% of the total power production of the whole system (solar power reaching 9.31 billion kWh, power wind reaching 3.61 billion kWh).
+ Imported power reached 536 million kWh, accounting for 0.6% of the total power production of the whole system.
In the first four months of 2022, the power produced by EVN and Power Generation Corporations (including joint stock companies) reached 37.23 billion kWh, accounting for 43.47% of the power produced by the whole system. Power transmission in April 2022 reached 18.1 billion kWh. Accumulated in the first 4 months of 2022, transmission power output reached 67.03 billion kWh, increasing by 4.1% compared to that of the same period last year.
The commercial power output of EVN in April 2022 is estimated at 20.53 billion kWh. The power accumulation in 4 months of 2022 reached 75.3 billion kWh, an increase of 6.3% over the same period in 2021.
Business and customer service: By the end of April 2022, the rate of customers paying power bills in non-cash form reached 87.36%; the rate of power bill payment in non-cash form across the whole EVN reached 96.42%.
Construction investment: In the first 4 months of 2022, EVN and its units have commenced 30 projects and completed energizing and putting into operation 31 power grid projects, ranging from 110 kV to 500kV (including 02 500kV projects, 04 220kV projects and 25 110kV projects).
Some targets and tasks of EVN in May 2022
The objectives of power system operation in May 2022 are: Continuing to ensure the generation and supply of power for production, business activities and people's daily life; especially to ensure power for the 31st SEA Games and the 3rd session of the XV National Assembly.
Regarding mobilizing power sources: maintaining the high water level of multi-purpose hydropower plants in the North; operating all capable thermal power plants in the North to ensure available capacity; high mobilization of gas turbines; imported power through 220 kV lines in May with a capacity of about 540 MW.
Regarding construction investment: Continuing to urge construction units to stick to the power source and grid projects plan, especially urgent power grid works to serve the power supply in the hot season of 2022.
