These days, on coming to Con Chim oasis, straight and great high electric poles crossing Thi Nai bog were completed and supplied power to each household. Being supplied with a strong and stable power source means that people have had more opportunities to develop their economy, open up many hopes.
Mr. Ho Van Nhan – the head of Con Chim hamlet, Phuoc Son commune (Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province) happily said: “Formerly, power grid was temporary, supply was interrupted, even rice could not be cooked well, the people faced many difficulties in living and producing activities. There is currently a new power station with strong current, the people are very happy. Hence, they will have more opportunities to expand their production, develop the economy”.
Previously, the power was only supplied for 250 households with 1,200 people in Con Chim hamlet through a 0.4kV single transmission line crossing Thi Nai bog which was powered from the substation in the land, so the power was so weak. The historic flood at the end of 2016 damaged all this temporary power systems, which makes the people in this oasis further encountered many difficulties.
Facing that situation, the leaders of Binh Dinh People’s Committee direct the functional branches to research, promptly invest new electric wires to supply power for Con Chim’s people. Right after that, Binh Dinh Power Company coordinate with the units to plan the project on constructing 22kV electric line with 570m in length and installing the substation in Con Chim with the total investment of over VND 1.7 million

According to Mr. Tran An Khuong – Director of Tuy Phuoc Power Company, Binh Dinh Power Company, after over 3 months of construction, the Power Companies coordinated with the related units to construct solid electric post system crossing Thi Nai bog. In the early May of 2018, Con Chim power work’s construction was completed and officially supplied power to sufficiently meet the demand on power for living and production, business of people in Con Chim oasis.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Hue (Con Chim hamlet) happily said that previously, the power was weak, my ice maker machine could not work, continuously “stop operating”, so I had to take a lot of time and efforts to observe it. Currently, the power had been good, the machines safety operate, so I can go anywhere or do anything without being worry. With a new and strong power source, stable machine-working Ms. Hue’s ice maker facility always operates at full capacity.
Since new power source being supplied, many households in Con Chim have bought more equipment to use in their house such as television, refrigerator, fan, cooker, washing machine, water pump, even karaoke set, etc. Most Con Chim’s people live on fishing, aquaculture, so the temporary and interrupted power grid made their life and work face many difficulties. Currently, the new stable electric line has been invested to construct, sufficiently meet the needs of socio-economic development, which helps the oasis rise up. Simultaneously, with this power source, meeting the developing demands for Con Chim Ecological preservation area is the premise for Binh Dinh province to promote investing in ecotourism development in Thi Nai bog.
