Prime Minister appointing Mr. Dang Hoang An - General Director of EVN to be Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed Decision No. 529/QD-TTg dated May 15th, 2018 to appoint Mr. Dang Hoang An – Member of Member Council and General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) to be Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Mr. Dang Hoang An was born on October 6th, 1965, his hometown is Hiep Hoa district of Bac Giang province. He graduated from University with the major in Electric Power in Czech Republic and graduated a Master Degree in Power System Manager and a Master degree of Business Administration at Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He is fluent in English and Czech and he obtains a high-level of political theory.

Before Mr. Dang Hoang An was appointed to be Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, he had experienced through many positions and undertaken many positions as a leader and manager in Power sector (including Deputy Director of National Load Dispatch Centre from 1993 to 2004, Head of EVN’s Power Grid Technique Department of from 2004 to 2006, Deputy Director of Power Transmission Company No. 1 from 2006 to 2007, Head of EVN’s Department of Plan from 2007 to 2008, Deputy General Director of EVN from 2008 to 2015 and General Director of EVN from July 2015 to May 2018).

After Mr. Dang Hoang An had been appointed to be Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, EVN’s Member Council also issued Decision No.145/QD-EVN dated May 16th, 2018 appointing Mr. Dinh Quang Tri, Deputy General Director of EVN to undertake the responsibilities and missions of EVN’s General Director during the period waiting for consolidating the General Director position.
