Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Hai Duong province Luu Van Ban affirmed that the power sector had contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the province.
Mr. Pham Trung Nghia, Director of Hai Duong Power Company said that in 2019, power sales to the whole province reached 5.8 billion kWh, an increase of 10.79% compared to 2018, of which, the power sales for industrial loads accounted for about 71.41%.
Up to now, all 235 communes, wards and towns in the province have been connected to the national power grid. The rate of households having access to electricity in the province reached 100%. Hai Duong Power Company manages and sells electricity directly to households in 191/235 communes, the remaining 44 communes buy electricity from other power trading organizations.
In the province, there are 17 110kV substations and 39 110kV transformers with a total capacity of 1,715 MVA. The load factor of 110 kV substations is about 60-70%. To ensure power supply for Hai Duong province in the period 2020-2023, EVN/EVNNPC has been investing in 21 110kV grid projects with a total investment cost of VND1,170 billion. As for medium/low voltage grids, EVNNPC plans to implement 288 projects, with a total investment cost of VND1,650 billion. In addition, other power grid projects which are included in the provincial power development master plan will be invested in accordance with the local load growth requirement.
Mr. Le Quang Thai - Deputy General Director of EVNNPC has recommended that the People's Committee of Hai Duong province should direct electricity customers in industrial zones to reserve a land fund for constructing 110 kV substations and rights of way. Customers who are specialized loads with a large capacity of 20 MW or more shall invest in and build their dedicated 110 kV substations.
The leader of EVNNPC has proposed that the People's Committee of Hai Duong province should require local departments, agencies and related units to agree upon the time for depreciation, asset value calculation and to hand over rural low voltage grid of 44 communes to Hai Duong PC for management of electricity selling.
The power sector has secured safe and stable electricity supply for Dai An Industrial Park (Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province).
