In the first 6 months of 2019, the water flow to Tuyen Quang reservoir is higher than the average flow for many years, especially in January, February and April 2019. During the flood season in 2019, the water flow to the reservoir is relatively stable.
The company has well implemented the technical management, so the generation units always operate safely, stably, without serious incidents, ensuring the mode of operation under the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch Center. Forecasting was conducted in line with the hydrological situation in the region to give timely advice to EVN and the General Department of Disaster Prevention to manage and store water in the reservoirs in real time.

One of the reasons for the Company to produce excess production is that the discharge of water to the Winter-Spring crop in early 2019 was adjusted to shorten the time in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Department. As a result, the water level in Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir through 3 intensive discharges were still maintained at a level of 6.63m higher than 2018’s.
From now to the end of 2019, Tuyen Quang hydropower company will continue to direct officers and employees to fully implement the current regulations on labour safely and hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention and fighting; operate the units according to the required process; in particular, proactively focusing on planning of detailed tasks and implementation; arranging a rational repair schedule for units to make the most of the inflow water, and at the same time to store the reservoir water to the normal rising water level to serve the target of generating power and supplying water for the Winter-Spring crop in 2020.
Tuyen Quang hydropower plant is a national key project, with a designed capacity of 342MW, starting generation from 2008 to the present. This is the 6th consecutive year, the plant has produced an output surpassing the designed one.
