Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) decided to support the COVID-19 vaccine fund with an amount of VND400 billion (including VND30 billion donated by EVN to the Ministry of Health in December on 28 May 2021).
.
According to the expected plan, EVN's donation of VND400 billion for the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund will be granted at the Launching Ceremony of the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund on the evening of 5 June 2021 in Hanoi under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the leaders of the Party, the State, the Government and departments, ministries.
Thus, up to now, the total amount of money that EVN and its member units have contributed and supported for heavily affected provinces and cities as well as supported pandemic prevention activities of the health sector. For the COVID-19 outbreak since the end of April alone, the figure reached more than VND408 billion.
On the other hand, in the past 2 years, Vietnam Electricity has demonstrated the role, in addition to the pioneering responsibility of SOEs to the social community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic by reducing electricity price 3 times from the total amount of about VND13,800 billion. At the same time, so far, EVN has assisted and supported COVID-19 prevention and control activities in the past 2 years with a value of nearly VND450 billion.
Currently, EVN and its units are still trying their best, striving to continue good dual-task performance: both carrying out COVID-19 prevention and control, and ensuring power supply for socio-economic development of the country.
