Vinh Tan 4 TPP first successfully synchronized the grid on 22/4/2019. Imagine taken by DVCC
The highest generating capacity during the first synchronization of Vinh Tan 4 expansion TPP reached 150MW.
In the process of synchronization, SOx reduction system by sea water (FGD), Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by NH3 and electrostatic dust filter system (ESP) were simultaneously operated to ensure the environment protection during the experiment.
The successful synchronization is an important premise for investors, contractors and related parties to implement the next steps such as: Turbine overspeed testing, releasing of power-load at different levels, separating self-use electric grid, running generating units for reliability testing, etc.
Based on the plan, the Plant will be put into operation after 45 months of constructions and installation (expected by the end of December 2019). With the current schedule, the project can be completed 2 months ahead of the schedule.
The Vinh Tan 4 expansion TPP Project is built in Vinh Tan Power Centre, Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province and invested by Electricity of Vietnam. The Project was officially commenced on 23 April 2016, consisting of a generating unit with capacity of about 600MW, using supercritical boiler technology (Super Critical).
Upon being put into operation, Vinh Tan 4 expansion TPP will supply about 3.6 billion kWh/year to the power system, contributing to ensuring the power supply for the socio-economic development of Binh Thuan province in particular and of the southern provinces in general.
