EVN works with the union of associations
At the conference on 19th April 2019, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh – Chairman of Members’ Council of EVN and the union of associations mentioned above have co-agreed on the cooperating program in promoting to save auxiliary power in the fields of production, transmission, power supply, especially at the power plants of Corporation.
At the same time, the union will cooperate with EVN to make a report to the authorities on development and implementation of the mechanism and policies on economic and efficient use of energy; especially request the key energy-using units to strictly implement the energy audit;
propose mechanisms and policies for enterprises to implement demand management programs and adjust electricity load; replicate effective power saving solutions which were proven in reality such as rooftop photovoltaic panels, energy saving in shrimp breeding; deploy propaganda in economical and efficient energy using.
EVN has always been a pioneer on the field of power saving in particular, energy saving in general. Over the past few years, EVN has implemented many power saving programs that bring great benefits to consumers, as well as for the national power system such as: "Replacement of U-shaped bearing of paddlewheel aerator equipment (for generating oxygen) with rotary shaft" and "Coaxialization of motor and shaft of paddlewheel aerator, use of rotary shaft bearing roller instead of U-shaped bearing roller" which help shrimp breeders saving from 25 to 30 percent of consumed power; power saving for farmers to grow chrysanthemum, plant dragon fruit; develop the market of solar water heaters, etc.
Not only encouraging the consumers to save power, EVN and its member units also always have focused efforts on implementing power-saving solutions. Typically, EVN tower has achieved the title of Hanoi Green Energy Facility in 2017; EVN has also installed the rooftop photovoltaic system at the head office of the Corporation and its subsidiaries, etc.
Particularly for power plants, the Corporation currently has 24 plants (14 plants belonging to power generation corporations and 9 power plants directly managed by the Corporation) on the list of key energy-using units. The energy audit and auxiliary power saving solutions have been implemented for all plants.
