From the beginning of 2023 to May 25, the electricity output of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) is 3.28 billion kWh. The accumulated electricity output since Vinh Tan 2 TPP was put into operation (in 2015) is 57.625 billion kWh. Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company is striving to achieve an electricity output of 60 billion kWh by August 2023 according to the emulation launched by the corporation.
Mr. Thien Thanh Son - Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company said that according to the coal supply plan agreed with the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) and the Dong Bac Corporation, as well as the coal delivery from other suppliers, coal supply situation to meet operational needs with high power output according to the mobilization method of the power system for May, June, and July, 2023. The expected inventory of the dry season month of Vinh Tan 2 TPP at the end of May 2023 is about 200,000 tons and higher than the minimum inventory level in June 2023.
The company continues to maintain and promote environmental protection, effectively deploying solutions to consume ash and slag with a volume of 1 million tons of ash and slag at the slag yard in 2023.

To ensure power generation according to the mobilization method of the National Load Dispatch Center in the 3 peak months of the dry season, the Chairman of EVNGENCO3’s Board of Directors suggested that the company strengthens the on-call force to ensure timely handling if an incident occurs; make contingency plans, strengthen inspection and control; prepare equipment and materials for production, maintenance and repair work to achieve maximum efficiency, ensuring the highest availability of the generating units.
The company needs to be more active in implementing solutions to reduce the heat loss rate of the generating unit; ensure sufficient coal reserve in all situations, and gradually increase the amount of coal inventory to maximize the continuous coal supply for power production. At the same time, strengthen mobilization and implementation of energy saving, efficient electricity use at work, management and operation areas, and families.
In addition, EVNGENCO3’s leaders also noted that the unit needs to develop long-term orientations and plans in investment, improve equipment systems, improve the quality of maintenance and repair work; promote the ash and slag consumption, and protect the environment to contribute to the completion of the assigned tasks in the coming time.
