Mr. Bui Thanh Thuy – Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association – stated: The power industry faces numerous challenges in power generation, transmission, distribution, and other processes; therefore, there is a need to share in these common difficulties. The price increase is inevitable and objective, and it is impossible to avoid raising electricity prices under the current conditions. In fact, according to legal regulations, electricity prices can be adjusted every three months. However, since the last price increase in October 2024, it has been more than six months since EVN has implemented another price adjustment.
The representative of the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association also emphasized that in the context of hot weather and electricity price adjustment, people need to pay attention to using electricity economically and effectively.
