Participating in the delegation were, on behalf of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh – Vice President of EVN, Mr. Doan Duc Hung - Vice President of Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), representatives of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), and Tay Ninh Power Company.
Welcoming and working with the delegation on behalf of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and local authorities.
At the meeting, representatives from departments, agencies, and businesses exchanged information and clarified the progress of implementing power projects under the revised Power Development Plan VIII in the province.

According to EVN's report, over the past period, EVN and its member units have ensured a reliable power supply to support socio-economic development and meet the needs of people in Tay Ninh Province. The province's commercial power output in the 2021-2025 period grew at an average rate of 6.57% per year. In the first six months of 2026 alone, the province's total commercial power output reached 8.1 billion kWh, an increase of 9.24% compared to the same period in 2025; of which the industrial and construction sector accounted for 70.89%, an increase of 8.66% compared to the same period.
During the first six months of 2026, the province's transmission grid also operated safely and reliably, meeting the electricity demand for its socio-economic development. Based on the revised Power Development Plan VIII and to meet the increasing load demand in the coming years, EVNNPT is investing in 13 transmission grid projects in Tay Ninh Province, including 6 500kV projects and 7 220kV projects.
EVN requested the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee to continue facilitating and supporting EVN and its member units in implementing power generation and power grid investment and construction projects in accordance with the Revised National Power Development Plan VIII (Revised PDP VIII) and the provincial planning framework.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, stated that the province has identified energy infrastructure development as one of its key priorities.
Leaders of Tay Ninh Province affirmed that the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will continue to support corporations, businesses, and investors by proactively resolving issues within its authority and fostering a favorable, transparent, and stable investment environment to facilitate the timely, efficient, and lawful implementation of energy projects across the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade would continue to support Tay Ninh Province in implementing the Revised Power Development Plan VIII, while working closely with relevant stakeholders to promptly address challenges and obstacles to accelerate the implementation of power generation and grid projects.
