To proactively respond to natural disasters and storms that may occur in the last months of 2024, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has implemented many measures to ensure the safe operation of power units and water regulation in reservoirs.

Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has been managing and operating three Hydropower Plants: Buon Kuop, Buon Tua Srah, and Srepok 3, located in the two provinces of Dak Lak and Dak Nong.

Since September 13, 2024, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has regularly inspected the actual condition and held meetings to discuss and propose plans for regulating water to reduce floods in Buon Tua Srah reservoir, especially during the remaining period of the 2024 flood season. Thereby, helping power plants respond promptly and appropriately to emerging situations, ensuring safe operation of reservoirs, dams, and power plants.

The water regulation for power generation and water discharge downstream is carried out in accordance with the inter-reservoir operation procedures, ensuring optimal exploitation of water, following the actual situation of water inflow to the reservoir, while minimizing damage when rains and floods occur, not tolerating passive situations to occur during the water regulation process.
