At the meeting, Mr. Ni Zhen expressed a strong desire to collaborate with EVN in areas such as energy storage (BESS), pumped-storage hydropower, ultra-high-voltage direct current grid construction, and integrated multi-energy projects, which combine wind power, solar power, hydropower, and thermal power.
Additionally, he proposed strengthening cooperation in other fields such as gas power, offshore wind energy, and cogeneration power projects. CEEC emphasized its readiness to offer technical solutions, expertise, and financial resources to support EVN in implementing large-scale projects.
Mr. Dang Hoang An acknowledged and highly valued CEEC's proposals, expressing confidence that with its current technical and financial capabilities, CEEC could play a more significant role in Vietnam's energy transition. This is particularly important given the increasing demand for renewable energy investment in Vietnam.
CEEC is one of China's leading energy corporations and has been listed among the Fortune Global 500 companies for several consecutive years. The corporation has invested in and contracted over 70 power projects in Vietnam, with a total contract value exceeding USD 9 billion. Notable among these is the Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant, developed under a "Build-Operate-Transfer" model. CEEC currently operates 12 subsidiaries in Vietnam, focusing on the energy sector.
