DEC International is a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC). During the meeting, Mr. Tran Cuong provided a brief overview of Dongfang’s business performance over the past year. The Chairman of DEC International also expressed appreciation for the support of EVN’s leadership in facilitating Dongfang’s development in the Vietnamese market and conveyed the company’s hope to continue cooperating with EVN in the future.

Regarding the Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project of EVN, in which Dongfang is a member of the contractor consortium responsible for supplying electro-mechanical equipment, Dongfang affirmed that it will closely coordinate with relevant parties to ensure the project’s schedule and quality in accordance with the requirements of the project owner.

Vice President Pham Hong Phuong congratulated Dongfang on the return of its products to the Vietnamese market, particularly in the hydropower sector, after more than 10 years. EVN’s leadership also emphasized that during the implementation of the Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, all parties must ensure effective organization, close management coordination, and strict compliance with the commitments made.

On this occasion, EVN also exchanged information with DEC International regarding areas of interest to the partner, including hydropower expansion, pumped-storage hydropower, offshore wind power, and upgrading and improving the efficiency of coal-fired thermal power units.
