On April 1 in Hanoi, EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh received and held a working meeting with a delegation from China Energy Engineering Corporation International (CEEC International) led by Mr. Qiao Xubin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEEC International.
During the meeting, representatives of CEEC International expressed their interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the development orientation of Vietnam’s power sector. On that basis, the company aims to explore opportunities for cooperation with EVN in areas such as renewable energy, energy storage, LNG-to-power projects, and energy infrastructure development. With its strengths in project implementation experience, technical solutions, and financial capacity, the partner expressed its willingness to accompany EVN in large-scale energy projects.

On EVN’s side, the Group acknowledged and appreciated the cooperation proposals presented by CEEC International, while encouraging the company to continue researching and updating relevant information in order to explore opportunities to participate in the development of Vietnam’s power infrastructure in line with the orientation of the revised National Power Development Plan VIII.

CEEC International is a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation, a large diversified group operating in the fields of energy, power, infrastructure, and industry. In 2024, the company ranked 228th in the Fortune Global 500. In Vietnam, CEEC International has invested in and served as EPC contractor for more than 70 power projects, including the 1,200MW Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant, developed under an investment–construction–operation model.
