On May 24, the ring network connection project using two 35kV feeders originating from the Mai Chau 110kV substation (Hoa Binh province) and the Ba Thuoc 110kV substation (Thanh Hoa province) was accepted and energized. The project aims to enhance the stability of power supply to the highland district of Muong Lat (Thanh Hoa), effectively addressing the issue of prolonged power outages during the rainy season and contributing to the region’s welfare, economic development, and social stability.
For many years, there has been only a single 35kV power line from Trung Ly commune to the district center, with a length of nearly 40 kilometers and traversing mountainous and rugged terrain. Consequently, the power supply was frequently disrupted due to landslides, broken conductors, or collapsed poles during storms, severely affecting the daily lives of residents and local socio-economic activities.
Muong Lat Power Unit proposed to Thanh Hoa Power Company the investment plan for a ring network connection using two 35kV feeders: 371E19.6 from the Mai Chau 110kV Substation (Hoa Binh) and 374E9.12 from the Ba Thuoc 110kV Substation (Thanh Hoa). The project entered the construction phase in March 2025 and was officially accepted and safely energized on May 24.

This is not only a technical infrastructure project but also represents a significant step forward in sustainable development, bringing light closer to each household in this remote border highland area.
