Crossing mountains and streams to bring electricity to top of Mang Di

The sound of the stream murmuring in the vast forests of Tra Linh blends with the footsteps of the electricians on their journey through the jungle and over the mountains to bring the national power grid to Mang Di hamlet (Tra Linh commune, Da Nang city). After many difficult days, the 3.8km power supply project has been completed, illuminating 38 households in this remote area and opening up new opportunities for life here.

In early June 2026, as the summer sun bathed the slopes of Tra My mountain in golden light, the staff of Tra My Power Company was still diligently working on the site to implement the project to supply power to Mang Di hamlet. After many years of waiting, the people here will soon have access to a stable power supply from the national grid. This joy is also the motivation for the electricians to overcome all difficulties and be determined to complete the project on schedule.

Before the national power grid was extended to the area, most households relied on small-scale, self-generated, or hydroelectric power sources. The power was weak and intermittent, barely sufficient to power a few low-wattage lights at night. These flickering lights in the mountains and forests could not meet the needs of the people for daily life, education, and production. During the dry season, when water resources dwindled, the power supply became even more difficult.

The moment power was brought into operation, smiles of joy appeared on the faces of the people of Mang Di hamlet.

Behind the 3.8-kilometre low-voltage power line project were countless days of hard work. To survey the route, identify pole locations, string the conductors, and complete the technical components, engineers and workers had to move continuously through steep and rugged hilly terrain. Every foundation pit excavated, every pole erected firmly on the mountainside, embodies the sweat and effort of the laborers.

After days of tireless effort, on June 3, 2026, the project was officially completed and successfully energized. The moment the power was put into operation was also the moment joy was evident on the faces of the people of Noc Mang Di. The first lights shone in the houses amidst the mountains and forests, signaling the beginning of a new chapter.

Access to the national power grid not only makes daily life more convenient for people but also creates conditions for developing production and improving their material and spiritual lives.
