The Danish delegation was led by Ambassador Nicolai Prytz, accompanied by Mr. Raphael Huot – Vice President of Vestas for Asia, and senior regional executives of the company.
Ambassador Prytz affirmed that Vietnam is currently one of Vestas’s most important markets in Asia and a strategic partner under the framework of the Vietnam–Denmark Green Strategic Partnership. On that basis, Vestas expressed its desire to continue collaborating closely with the Government of Vietnam and EVN in developing wind power, enhancing energy security, and strengthening grid operation capabilities in the context of increasing renewable energy penetration.

Vestas shared that it is currently operating 35 wind farms in Vietnam with a total installed capacity of approximately 1.6GW. The company also has around 1GW of additional wind projects under development, including 350MW already integrated into the adjusted National Power Development Plan VIII.
According to Vestas, Vietnam has enormous wind energy potential – particularly in offshore wind – which can make a significant contribution toward achieving national carbon neutrality goals and ensuring long-term energy security.
At the meeting, Vestas also shared its experience in power system operations and management in the context of increasing automation and the integration of a large number of distributed energy resources.
