During the discussion, both sides shared practical experience in several key areas, including procurement and bidding in the energy transition context, power system operation and integration of renewable energy sources into the grid, as well as human resource training and development - particularly for technical and management positions to meet the requirements of digital transformation and enhanced operational capacity. Both parties acknowledged that these topics hold practical and long-term significance for improving the operational efficiency of each corporation.

Speaking at the meeting, EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh emphasized that EVN values its exchange channels with regional power utilities that share similar organizational structures and operational scopes.

According to EVN’s leadership, as Vietnam’s power system enters a phase requiring higher standards of operational safety, cost optimization, and energy transition adaptation, learning from TNB’s practical experience is of great importance, especially in centralized procurement, grid management, and workforce quality enhancement.

EVN attaches great importance to its cooperation with TNB and expressed the desire to maintain regular exchanges and develop concrete collaborative programs suited to the needs and conditions of both sides, aiming for mutual and sustainable benefits.

This working session marked a step toward the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between EVN and TNB in May 2025, contributing to deepening mutual understanding and strengthening the foundation for long-term cooperation in areas where both sides have complementary strengths, toward the shared goal of building a stable, modern, and sustainable power system.

The TNB delegation’s program in Vietnam will continue on October 28 with a technical exchange visit to the Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant (Thanh Hoa Province).
