On the morning of June 5th, in Da Nang, a delegation from the Vietnam Power (EVN), led by EVN Board Member Cao Quang Quynh, held a working meeting with the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) to discuss the power supply situation, business operations, and customer service during the peak dry season of 2026.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Anh Dung - Member of the Board of Directors of EVNCPC - stated that in the first five months of 2026, the Corporation had safely and reliably operated power sources and grids, ensuring a stable power supply for the Central and Central Highlands regions. The peak load capacity (on May 27, 2026) reached 4,777MW, an increase of 18.2% compared to that of the same period. Notably, on the same day, the total power output for the entire region reached 100.5 million kWh – surpassing the 100 million kWh/day mark for the first time.

Anticipating continued high demand during the dry season and throughout 2026, EVNCPC has implemented a comprehensive set of solutions to ensure a safe and stable power supply. Accordingly, the Corporation is improving the quality of load forecasting, optimizing power system operation methods, promoting load adjustment and shifting programs, using power efficiently and effectively, developing rooftop solar power for self-production and self-consumption, and simultaneously increasing investment in and upgrading the power grid to enhance the reliability of power supply.

In the business and customer service sector, EVNCPC continues to strengthen the application of digital technology, maintain the effectiveness of 24/7 customer care channels, and promote communication on safe, economical, and efficient power use. All feedback related to power bills and power quality is received and processed promptly.

Mr. Cao Quang Quynh - Member of EVN Board of Directors, speaking at working session.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Cao Quang Quynh, a member of the EVN Board of Directors, acknowledged EVNCPC's efforts in power supply, business, and customer service over the past period. He also requested the Corporation to continue improving the effectiveness of load adjustment, power saving, and demand management programs; and to strengthen direct collaboration with major customers to work out appropriate solutions, ensuring practicality and effectiveness in implementation.

EVN's Board of Directors also requested EVNCPC to strengthen communication and customer care during the hot season; proactively monitor and warn of high power demand, and promptly support customers in using power safely, economically, and efficiently. In addition, it is necessary to continue promoting the development of self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power, contributing to reducing pressure on the power system during periods of high load demand.
