The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dinh The Phuc – Member of the EVN Board of Directors and Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Vice President of EVN. Representatives of EVNGENCO3 included Mr. Le Van Danh – General Director of EVNGENCO3, Mr. Tran Dinh An – Deputy General Director of EVNGENCO3, leaders of the Corporation's specialized departments, affiliated units, and representatives from participating units online.
Reporting at the meeting, a representative from EVNGENCO3 stated that in the first nine months of 2026, EVNGENCO3 produced 22.105 billion kWh, achieving 95.1% of the nine-month plan and 72.1% of the annual plan approved by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, representing 111.5% compared to that of the same period last year. The power plants operated stably, effectively meeting the electricity system's dispatch requirements.
The corporation has implemented numerous solutions to improve equipment reliability, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize incidents. In 2026, EVNGENCO3 launched 18 repair projects, of which 13 have been completed.
According to EVNGENCO3 General Director Le Van Danh, the corporation is focusing its resources and coordinating with other units to improve the reliability and availability of the generating units; proactively preparing spare fuel and materials; and arranging appropriate maintenance schedules. These solutions are being implemented synchronously to ensure safe and stable operation, meeting the power system's mobilization requirements for the remainder of 2026 and 2027.

Delegates participating in working session on power production situation in 2026 and preparations for power supply during 2027 dry season by EVNGENCO3.
According to the 2027 plan, EVNGENCO3 expects to produce 32.6 billion kWh; specifically, during the dry season from January to July, the expected output is 20 billion kWh. To achieve this goal, the Corporation is proactively developing fuel supply plans, including nearly 8 million tons of coal, domestic natural gas, and regasified gas from imported LNG, and framework contracts for the supply of reserve DO oil for gas turbine power plants.
Repair and maintenance work is also being reviewed in a way to minimize the shutdown of thermal power plants during the peak dry season, especially from April 1st to July 31st, 2027. EVNGENCO3 continues to maintain a 24/7 repair team during the peak period, supplementing essential materials and enhancing the application of remote monitoring technology to detect abnormalities early and prevent incidents.
Given the risk of unfavourable hydrological conditions during the 2027 dry season, hydropower units are required to closely monitor water inflow into reservoirs, review water storage plans, and coordinate with local authorities and the power system dispatch center to develop optimal and appropriate operational, power generation, and water regulation plans.
Alongside its production activities, EVNGENCO3 continues to maintain environmental monitoring and supervision in accordance with regulations; control emission parameters and promote solutions to upgrade the exhaust gas treatment systems at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant and Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant, meeting the requirements of the new environmental standards.
Vice President Ngo Son Hai emphasized the need to review equipment conditions, minimize incidents, ensure reserve fuel sources of coal, gas, and oil; strengthen technical supervision, and proactively develop operating plans according to hydrological conditions. At the same time, the Corporation needs to accelerate solutions for controlling and treating emissions, ensuring that generating units are ready to meet the system's dispatch requirements.
EVN Board member Dinh The Phuc also directed EVNGENCO3 to focus on completing the 2026 power production plan, proactively preparing for 2027; paying attention to improving the reliability of generating units, ensuring fuel and spare parts, arranging reasonable maintenance schedules, and strictly implementing environmental protection regulations.
