Promoting border economy

Lang Son PC staff coordinates to inspect substation belonging to customer at Tan Thanh border gate area
At major border gates such as Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh, and Chi Ma, the power supply system always ensures safe and continuous operation, even during peak periods such as agricultural export season or national holidays.
According to Mr. Bui Cong Thanh - Deputy Head of the Customs Team at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Lang Son PC always coordinates closely with the customs force at Huu Nghi International Border Gate to ensure stable and continuous power supply to serve import and export activities.
A stable power source not only helps hundreds of businesses operating in the border gate area operate production and business with peace of mind, but also ensures production and business activities, and increases attractiveness to investors.

Vehicles use guaranteed power source here to maintain the temperature of refrigerated trucks, ensuring quality of agricultural products before customs clearance.
Investing hundreds of billions of dong (VND) in the power grid
In recent years, the Northern Power Corporation/Lang Son PC has invested hundreds of billions of dong (VND) in power grid projects in Lang Son province, to ensure power supply capacity to serve the development of the border gate economy, as well as the socio-economic development and life of people in the province. At the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, Lang Son PC coordinated to energize the Binh Gia 110kV Substation and the Loc Binh 110kV Substation, synchronously with the construction of medium-voltage output lines after the substations; creating additional communication loops between the Binh Gia 110kV Substation and the Trang Dinh, Dong Dang, Huu Lung 110kV substations... In addition to the 110kV projects, Lang Son PC also focuses on modernizing the province's power grid with 8/8 110kV substations switched to unmanned operation, and equipment is monitored and controlled remotely. The medium voltage system has also deployed 10 automated loops, connecting 174 remote switching devices to the Lang Son PC control center....
Not only is the work of upgrading and modernizing the power grid in border areas being implemented, but the Company is also synchronously upgrading the power grid across the province. By the end of 2024, the Company had completed 12 projects to renovate the rural low-voltage power grid, covering an area of 309.6km of 0.4kV lines in 72 communes. This ensured the operation of the power grid, and by the end of 2024, the rate of households with electricity reached 99.80%.
Under the direction of the Northern Power Corporation, Lang Son PC has been proactively implementing the strategy of “electricity one step ahead”, contributing to making Lang Son province one of the leading modern import-export and logistics centers in the Northern region.
