The main scale of the project includes the construction of a new 220/110kV transformer with a capacity of 250MVA and a land reserve for the installation of a second 220kV transformer. The 220kV side has a full development scale of 12 feeders; of which 9 feeders are equipped with full equipment in this project; 3 feeders are reserved. The 110kV side has a full development scale of 19 feeders; of which 9 feeders are equipped with full equipment in this project; 10 feeders are reserved.
In the 220kV connection line, two new double-circuit lines are constructed from Nam Cam 220kV Substation to the connection point on the 220kV Quynh Luu - Hung Dong transmission line (about 2.9km long) and Nghi Son - Hung Dong 220kV transmission line (about 3.9km long), with a total length of about 6.8km.
The project, once completed, will help increase the power supply for loads of Nghe An province and neighboring areas, contributing to ensuring the N-1 criteria, and improving the reliability and safety of power supply for the regional grid.
