Attending and giving a speech at the conference in Hoa Binh province, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam – EVN’s Vice President praised and thanked the leaders, officers, employees, and workers of the Company for their efforts and excellent completion of tasks in 2024.

One of the urgent tasks mentioned by the EVN’s Vice President is the  Hoa Binh 480MW Hydropower Plant expansion project (Power Project Management Board No. 1 manages the project on behalf of EVN). Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam requested that Hoa Binh Hydropower Company coordinate closely and smoothly with related units, focus all efforts, and strive to put the project into operation to ensure the set schedule.

The key issues set by the Company's leaders focus on a number of issues such as: implementing the 2025 theme "Safe, stable and efficient operation in power supply in 2025", meeting the requirements of multi-purpose strategic hydropower projects; ensuring optimal regulation and exploitation of water resources for power generation and downstream water needs; preparing timely reservoir water storage plans, being ready for the 2025 dry season; implementing well the preparation work for production of the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant; focusing on personnel training.

In 2024, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company made many remarkable achievements, which are demonstrated through operations, repairs, investment, and management activities.

Regarding operations, the electricity output reached 8,897 million kWh, ensuring a stable power supply for the system. In 2024, the Company successfully completed the task of regulating water, meeting the irrigation water demand for the Northern Delta in the dry season; performing safe and stable operations, without any incidents or unusual damage.

The Company fully and promptly fulfilled its obligation in contributing to the State budget with a total value of VND 1,411 billion, of which VND 965 billion was directly contributed to the budget of Hoa Binh province and VND 446 billion to the budget of Son La province.
