Strive to complete key projects on schedule
Speaking at the conference, EVN’s Vice President Pham Hong Phuong acknowledged and commended the efforts of EVNPMB1 in 2024, especially in managing the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project. At the same time, EVNPMB1 also coordinated well with the Group in preparing for the implementation of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project. Along with that, other important projects such as the Lao Bao 500kV Substation project (Huong Hoa) and the connecting 220kV transmission line have been approved by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee for investment policy and approved investor in Decision No. 5051/QD-UBND dated December 13, 2024, which is one of the urgent transmission grid projects in Quang Tri.

In carrying out the political task, EVN leaders directed EVNPMB1 to focus efforts, and prepare human resources and construction machinery so that the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project can ensure power generation according to plan in 2025. At the same time, EVNPMB1 will focus all its efforts on completing the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project before September 2, 2025, making achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and welcoming Party Congresses at all levels.
The Deputy General Director of EVN also assigned EVNPMB1 the task of completing investment preparation for urgent power transmission grid projects in Quang Tri, focusing on completing the site clearance work of the Dung Quat I and Dung Quat III Combined Gas Turbine Power Plant projects, and so on.
Receiving the instructions of EVN’s Vice President Pham Hong Phuong, Mr. Bui Phuong Nam - Party Secretary, and Director of EVNPMB1 said that he will strive to implement the tasks of 2025, closely follow the construction site, focus on solving the tasks and plans set out to complete the projects, focusing on completing the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project and the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project. EVNPMB1 will also coordinate well with the Group's professional departments, local authorities, contractors, and partners to complete the tasks of 2025.

Some outstanding results in the past year include: accelerating the construction progress of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project to meet the annual plan, as well as explaining to get approval for the project's adjusted investment policy. On October 26, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1247/QD-TTg, approving the investment policy and approving the investor of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project. Immediately after that, EVNPMB1 urgently implemented steps, completed the procedures for submitting for appraisal and approval of the investment project, proceeded to submit the project's technical design and the following tasks to meet the requirements for the project's commencement and completion schedule.
In 2024, the Party Committee of EVNPMB1 also completed the preparation and submission of documents requesting approval of investment policies and investors of 3 projects in the power grid project cluster in Quang Tri. Of which, one project was approved, and the remaining 2 projects have attained appraisal results.
According to the Deputy Director of EVNPMB1, 2025 is a very important year for the Party Committee of EVNPMB1 with key projects such as completing the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion project, and the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project, commencing the urgent power grid project cluster in Quang Tri province in the 4th quarter of 2025.
