According to the National Load Dispatch Center (A0), up to May 2022, the total installed capacity of the whole power system in Vietnam reached 76,982MW; in which, renewable energy has more than 20,300MW.

In particular, the operation of renewable energy sources is closely coordinated and effectively implemented by A0 and its units. With the mobilization of rooftop solar power, weekly, A0 informs the power corporations so that the units can proactively implement.
In the upcoming hot period in the North, in order to ensure the available capacity of the power system, A0 has proactively arranged a repair schedule for thermal power sources to be completed in April, not arranging the repair schedule for hydropower and thermal power sources in May, June and July. The adjusted capacity is increased to 1,000 - 1,500MW compared to the initial registration of power plants.
In the next period, Master Plan No.3 is being balanced and calculated to implement COP26. Emission power sources will be replaced by zero-emission power sources. Difficulty in power system operation, the electricity market will multiply even more. A0 needs to be ready to respond to new challenges.
