Participating in the talk show were Mr. Doan Ngoc Duong, Deputy Director of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT); Mr. Tran Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of Oil, Gas, and Coal Department, MOIT; and Mr. Pham Hong Phuong, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
The show also had the participation of representatives of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam); Chief Representative of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners Group in Vietnam; and Energy economist Vo Tri Thanh.
Within the framework of the show, representatives of EVN and Petrovietnam presented content related to the investment and construction progress of a number of key energy projects in the list of investment-prioritized power source and grid projects in the National Electricity Development Plan for the 2021 – 2030 period, vision to 2050 (Power Plan VIII) approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 500/QD- TTg dated May 15, 2023.
Of which, 05 hydropower projects with a total capacity of 3,440MW, scale from 200MW to 1,200MW (including 03 expansion projects are the expanded Ialy Hydropower Plant, the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, and the Tri An expanded hydropower plant; 02 pumped storage hydropower projects are Bac Ai and Phuoc Hoa) expected to be deployed and put into operation in the 2021-2030 period.

At the show, EVN Vice President Pham Hong Phuong updated the investment and construction progress of key projects invested by EVN such as the expanded Ialy Hydropower Plant, the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, Quang Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant, etc.
Especially for the project that is receiving close attention and direction from the Government and MOIT, the Quang Trach - Pho Noi 500kV Circuit 3 Transmission Line Project, EVN's leader said that, despite many difficulties on construction investment and site clearance, with the determination of investors and contractors, and the maximum companionship and support of authorities from central to local levels, it will create strong momentum, be a solid premise for EVN and related units to complete the set progress goals.
