EVN and PVPower discussed the power purchase agreements of Ca Mau 1 & 2 Power Plants
Ca Mau 1 & 2 Power Plants (located in U Minh district, Ca Mau province), with a total capacity of 1,500MW, have been commercially operated since 2008, managed and operated by PetroVietnam Ca Mau Power Company (a member unit of PVPower).
At the meeting, the two parties discussed and resolved obstacles in the process of revising, amending and supplementing power purchase agreements of Ca Mau 1&2 Power Plants signed in 2008 to enable the power plants to enter the electricity market.
Leaders of the two parties also agreed to keep on exchanging, negotiating and strengthening their collaborations, in order to secure their legitimate interests, while complying with the law, for the development of Vietnam energy industry, contributing to the sufficient electricity supply for socio-economic development.
At the end of the meeting, EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan and PVPower’s General Director Le Nhu Linh signed minutes of meeting to agree on plans to revise and amend the power purchase agreements of Ca Mau 1 & 2 Power Plants.
