Mr. Fabrice Richy will finish his working term in Vietnam and enjoy retirement from October 2021. From 2017 until now, in his capacity as Director of AFD Vietnam, Mr. Fabrice Richy has strongly promoted the long-standing partnership between AFD and EVN.
EVN and AFD have had a strong cooperative relationship for more than 20 years with power system development projects and programs. Loans from AFD have significantly contributed to assisting EVN in completing its construction investment plan, meeting the requirement of sufficient electricity supply for the socio-economic development of the country.
During Mr. Fabrice Richy's working term, the total amount committed by AFD to EVN through non-sovereign loans has been approximately EUR 250 million. This financial source has made an important contribution to meeting the investment capital need of EVN in the context of difficulties in public investment budget and sovereign loan arrangement, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nam shared.
