Ban Ve Hydropower Plant hit 10 billion kWh milestone

On 11 February 2020, Ban Ve Hydropower Plant (Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province) has generated 10 billion kWh after nearly 10 years of operation. This is an important milestone of Ban Ve Hydropower Company.

Ban Ve Hydropower Plant Project on the Nam Non river, with an installed capacity of 320MW, was approved by the Prime Minister in the Decision No. 665/QD-TTg dated 19 June, 2003.

The first unit of the plant was commissioned in 2010.

For nearly 10 years, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has successfully completed its big goals such as: Safe operation of the plant, ensuring downstream water supply, maximizing power generation to the system; safe operation of reservoirs according to the inter-reservoir operation procedure on Ca river basin in the annual flood season, etc.

During this time, the company has contributed more than VND1,000 billion to the state budget. Ban Ve Hydropower Company always accompanies with the locality in performing well social welfare work, acts of gratitude to the dead and wounded soldiers, supporting ethnic minorities, etc.

After this milestone, the company will continue to strive to increase labor productivity, improve production and business efficiency, ensure security and quality of power supply to meet economic development and social welfare requirements, contributing to economic - industrial - touristic development in the Western Nghe An region.
