On the side of EVN attending at the meeting, there were Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of EVN’s Member Council, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Deputy General Director of EVN, Mr. Ngo Son Hai - Deputy General Director of EVN, leaders of professional departments and member units.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Luu Xuan Vinh thanked EVN for regularly paying attention and supporting Ninh Thuan province in energy development, especially the release of renewable energy capacity over the past year.
Ninh Thuan is striving to become the center of clean and renewable energy of the whole country. Therefore, in the coming time, it is expected that EVN and its affiliates will continue to closely work with the province and effectively implement power projects in the area.
Mr. Luu Xuan Vinh kindly requested local authorities and departments to closely coordinate and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles of investors in implementing power projects.
Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of EVN’s Member Council said that the implementation of power projects in Ninh Thuan province as well as the capacity release for renewable energy sources was identified by the Group as one of the urgent tasks in order to ensure power supply in 2020 and subsequent years. Over the past year, EVN has actively implemented many solutions, promptly reported to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, submitted to the Prime Minister and was removed by him to solve difficulties and obstacles.
Recently, to release renewable energy sources in Ninh Thuan province, EVN and its units have urgently invested in transmission power grid projects. Up to now, the Group has completed 3 works in transmission power grid ahead of the approved planning schedule.
In order to accelerate the progress of projects in the coming time, EVN proposed to Ninh Thuan PPC to direct departments, branches and localities to promptly handle procedures and remove problems of power projects in the area such as: Bac Ai energy-storage hydropower plant; Phuoc Thai 2, 3 solar power plants; transmission line works with capacity from 110 - 500kV, etc.
According to the planning approved by the authorities, the total capacity of the power source in Ninh Thuan province to 2030 is nearly 5,150MW, this figure will be over 6,340MW if the projects that are being submitted for planning supplementation are accounted.
