At the meeting, Ms. Ly Huc Hong - Deputy General Director of CHD delivered a general introduction to the development of the electricity market in China and reviewed some achievements of Huadian Corporation – one of China's five largest power-generating corporations.
CHD operates in the business areas of power generation, coal production, providing electrical engineering solutions, research of new energies, and energy storage technologies.
Deputy General Director of CHD Ly Huc Hong emphasized that CHD attaches great importance to the good cooperative relationship between CHD and EVN and expressed her hope to expand the cooperation with EVN in the coming time so that both sides will together develop robustly in the energy sector.

Chairman of EVN's Board of Directors Dang Hoang An hoped that CHD would keep on supporting and sharing experiences with EVN in the fields of upgrading energy conversion technologies, grid management, and grid safety, improving the efficiency of coal-fired power plants, new technologies in power generation from renewable energy sources such as solar energy, offshore wind power, pumped storage hydropower or green hydrogen production.
At the meeting, the two sides also exchanged information and discussed in detail issues relating to the structure of Vietnam's electricity system, cooperation in training management, operation of coal-fired power plants; sharing experience in operation and maintenance of coal-fired power plants, green hydrogen production, and multi-dimensional energy conversion, etc. based on the cooperation scope which was discussed by EVN Chairman of the Board of Directors Dang Hoang An and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CHD Giang Nghi during the EVN's visit to CHD in November 2023.
