At the meeting, Mr. Chiap Khiong Koh thanked Vietnam Electricity for supporting the Phu My 3 BOT power plant project invested by Sembcorp Group.
General Director of Sembcorp emphasized that Vietnam is an important energy market that Sembcorp wants to promote investment. In the coming time, Sembcorp Group will continue to develop power sources in Vietnam, especially renewable energy, LNG gas power, etc. Sembcorp wishes to receive the companionship and support of EVN in this process.

On EVN's side, the Chairman of EVN’s Board of Directors Dang Hoang An highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the two parties in recent times. Sembcorp has been operating in Vietnam with outstanding projects and is one of the very strong groups in energy development, especially green energy. EVN leaders also expressed their hope that the two sides will continue to develop a strong cooperative relationship and achieve even better results.
In recent times, Vietnam Electricity and Sembcorp Group have implemented several cooperative activities such as research and evaluation of Vietnam's smart grid index (SGI); learning about Sembcorp's renewable energy management and optimization tool (SolarREC tool); expert exchange programs, etc.
Previously, EVN and Sembcorp also signed a memorandum of understanding, focusing on cooperation on 4 topics: improving the safety and reliability of the power system; developing and optimizing renewable energy projects; developing Dung Quat Power Center, and cooperating in training experts.
