The 110 kV line connecting to the substation of Long Son Petrochemical Complex has officially been completed
The 110 kV transmission line connecting to Long Son is 5.3 km long, having a total investment cost of VND 191 billion, including 2 circuits. This is the critical power supply source for Long Son Petrochemical Complex, invested by EVNSPC, and Power Construction Joint Stock Company No.1 is the construction contractor.
According to Mr. Lam Xuan Tuan - Deputy General Director of EVNSPC, the project has commenced since November 2020, facing many difficulties during project construction, i.e. problems in site clearance, ensuring safety corridor of power grids, under the pressure of supplying electricity in synchronization with other items of Long Son Petrochemical Complex. However, given the support of the local government and the Complex Construction Project Management Board, EVNSPC and the relevant organizations have made efforts to overcome difficulties and complete the project on schedule.
The project of Long Son Petrochemical Complex belongs to Long Son Petroleum Industrial Park (Vung Tau City), invested by SCG Group (Thailand), located in the southern key economic region of Ho Chi Minh City - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, adjacent to Cai Mep - Thi Vai port. This is a national key project, having an important indication in the socio-economic development strategy of the country in general and in the province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau in particular.
Once completed, the project will supply electricity to Long Son and Long Huong oil refineries, Long Huong Island Commune, Long Son Industrial Park and supporting industrial clusters; contributing to reducing power loss on the regional power grid, promoting socio-economic development in Long Son in particular and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in general, completing the 110 kV grid interconnection, improving the reliability and safety of power supply for the region to ensure safe operation of the regional power system.
