Dak Nong: Nearly 100 households in remote areas have access to electricity via the national power grid

In the last days of 2017, nearly 100 households in Kien Thanh Commune, a remote commune in Dak Rlap District, Dak Nong Province have access to electricity via the national power grid, after many years having no electricity.

On December 20, 2017, Dak Nong Power Company informed that the company had just inaugurated a new power supply project for village 2 and village 3 of Kien Thanh Commune, Dak Rlap District, Dak Nong Province. Leaders of Dak Nong Power Company said that nearly 100 households in these two villages who were immigrants from other provinces were facing a lot of difficulties.

The project has a total investment cost of over VND 1.9 billion. In addition, the power sector has been carrying out a lot of investment project to prevent overload situation with the investment cost of VND 962 million.

Bringing electricity to rural, remote, ethnic minority areas is a meaningful activity, not only helping people living in remote areas to have electricity but also promoting production, improving living conditions and gradually contributing to changing face of rural Dak Nong province.

Over the past time, the power sector in Dak Nong province has stepped up investment in rehabilitation and construction of power grids, improving power quality especially in rural, remote and border areas of the province. Particularly in 2017, the power company has invested in rehabilitating and upgrading the power grid with a total investment cost of VND 179.5 billion.
